Din Tai Fung is a renowned Taiwanese, Michelin-recognized restaurant brand famous for its Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings). It has gained a global reputation for its high-quality dim sum and meticulous preparation techniques. They offers an upscale and inviting cultural dining experience.
The building is highly stylized with modern Asian architecture. The interior includes a contemporary interpretation of a traditional Chinese pavilion rooftop, and the dining rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows.
Menu Highlights
Din Tai Fung is known for Xiao Long Bao which is a dumpling that has soup and a meat filling inside. They also offer a variety of wok-fired delicacies, noodles, and dumplings. The menu is large and impressive. We would reorder everything we’ve had – the food is divine.
Don’t skip the veggies, which offers a nice contrast to the noodles, dumplings and wontons. We think the Chocolate and Mochi Long Bao for dessert is spectacular and unique, and we always order this.
We prefer the Xiao Long Bao, Wontons, and Dumplings (which are akin to potstickers) over the Buns.

Pro Tips
This is one of the most popular restaurants at Disneyland. The reservations do go fast for prime times. At the time of this article reservations can only be made on Yelp 30 days in advance.
They do take walk ups – a line forms outside often before the restaurant opens. They also accept orders to go on their website.
You can watch the chefs cook in the kitchen – it’s visible through a glass wall and amazing to watch.
The wait staff will show you how they recommend you eat Xiao Long Bao. They have printed instructions on every table. We found this method and the sauce provided to truly enhance the flavors.

That’s our opinion and yours will be different. We have not tried every menu item, so we only include our favorites based on what we’ve tried.
This is a fantastic restaurant that we visit often. Advance reservations are highly recommended as it’s the most popular restaurant in Downtown Disney (from our observations).
